Building instructions and projects Zoo Lego Wedo 2.0

Historically, one of the most popular projects on platforms Wedo 1.0 and Wedo 2.0 are the Zoo-Bionics themed models. Such models are recommended for younger kids.
Namely, kids assembly and study a variety of animals, plants and insects. This is a truly exciting adventure for younger kids.

In this post we want to look at the most interesting Zoo projects. So, let’s start!

Roaring Lion Lego Wedo 2.0

When you try to pet a lion, the distance sensor is triggered, the lion stands on its front paws and growls menacingly! The bevel gear is used.

Giraffe Lego Wedo 2.0

The model uses a combination of two gears – bevel and rack and pinion. Due to the latter, there is a translational movement of the giraffe’s neck up and down.

Hungry Crocodile Lego Wedo 2.0

The model uses a combination of a bevel gear with two belts, due to which the crocodile’s mouth opens and closes. A distance sensor is installed inside the crocodile’s mouth, which reacts to objects that appear as a “victim” of the crocodile.

Owl Lego Wedo 2.0

The owl can flap its wings due to the crank mechanism. Also you can record some sounds like “Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo” in Wedo 2.0 Toolbox.

Dancing birds Lego Wedo 2.0

Rotation from the motor is transmitted using several gears – spur, bevel and belt. At the same time, by changing the type of belt drive, you can clearly see the principle of its operation: in which case the pulleys (and with them the birds) rotate in one direction, and in which case they rotate in different directions.

Penguin Lego Wedo 2.0

The drive is made on a bevel gear. You can activate the penguin using the tilt sensor – after any impact, the penguin will start stepping from foot to foot!

Horse Lego Wedo 2.0

The drive is made on a bevel gear with a crank mechanism. You can activate the model using the built-in microphone – after registering the volume difference, the horse starts moving.

Rabbit Lego Wedo 2.0

The model uses a bevel gear in combination with a crank mechanism – due to which the rabbit’s legs are moved.

Koala Lego Wedo 2.0

Moving the koala up and down along the trunk of the eucalyptus is due to the winding of the cable. The cable reel is located on the output shaft of the worm gear. The distance sensor fixes the position of the koala at the top of the eucalyptus.

Bear Lego Wedo 2.0

According to the principle of operation, the model is a walking robot with a worm gear drive.
