We have long been nurturing the idea of making a full adaptation of the educational materials “Lego Wedo 1.0: Activity Pack” for the kit Lego Wedo 2.0. So that it would be possible to take ready-made materials for organizing a lesson from the teacher’s guide and simply replace the Wedo 1.0 instructions with the Wedo 2.0 instructions. To be honest the Teacher’s Guide of Lego Wedo 1.0 is really cool and helpful for teaching and organising classes.
There are all required materials from one hand about mechanical gears and on the other hand about principles of programming. And most important thing is the presence of cool examples developed by Lego Education: as step-by-step building instructions and algorithm of working. There is no need to surf in the internet for searching instructions and examples. In those days it wasn’t so easy (as nowadays).
The work on implementing this idea was quite slow, but literally last week we completed two missing projects: Drummer Monkey and Flying Bird.
As a result, we’ve got a set of instructions that 100% covers the methodological materials from the Activity Pack course for Wedo 1.0.
In total, the set included 12 instructions from four thematic cycles, namely:
Amazing Mechanism
Dancing Birds
Smart Spinner
Drumming Monkey
Wild Animals
Hungry Alligator
Roaring Lion
Flying Bird
Play Soccer
Goal Kicker
Goal Keeper
Cheerful Fans
Adventure Stories
Airplane Rescue
Giant Escape
Sailboat Storm
