The model Solar System is built from the Lego Wedo 2.0 educational kit. It’s “shorted” version – there are just Sun, Earth and Moon. The model uses a combination of mechanical gears – one cylindrical and two bevel.
The set includes step-by-step building instructions and an example of program (in Lego Wedo 2.0 environment).
