The Lift is built from the Lego Wedo 2.0 educational kit. The movement of the lift cabin in the guides occurs due to the winding of the cable on a spool mounted on the motor shaft. The movement up or down is controlled by a distance sensor, which is activated when the cabin is raised to a certain height.
