The Growing Flower is built from the Lego Wedo 2.0 educational kit. The movement occurs due to the conversion of rotational motion into translational motion – this is facilitated by a rack and pinion transmission. The auxiliary gear is a worm gear. The movement of the flower stem is controlled using a tilt sensor.
